  • It makes me so mad

        So mad I tell you.

There is nothing that makes me any more pissed off, I mean, red-faced and steaming… then a girl RUINING her body by going thinspo.

Sure you can say, “well, you are not a girl, you can’t understand” or “it means something special to them”

WELL FUCK THAT.  There is nothing special or even glamorous for that matter than an otherwise normal girl weighing less than 130 lbs.

God, are you all just trying out for the cover of National Geographic or what?

You want some fucking thinspo?  Go to Cambodia, there’s your fucking thinspo.  People there are literally DYING for more than three bites of dinner every day.

Girls that choose to go down that path aren’t just being unhealthy.  They are being STUPID.  There is no other word for it other than COMPLETE STUPIDITY.

Man, that pisses me off so much.

        Okay, I’m done.

Until next time, good luck with life.

  • Stupidity is being overweight. Being 100 pounds shows determination and perseverance. I think those are great qualities!

  • @wherethefishlives - but then you are being scientifically UNDERWEIGHT which is just as unhealthy

  • @RockOfEadie - You can’t let science get in the way of your passion.

  • @wherethefishlives -  Unless that passion just so happens to be detrimental to your health and basically pointless.

  • Yeah, you pretty much nailed it with this one. Nothing to add.

  • Hell, I lost seven pounds binge drinking. BUT IT’S HEALTHIER THAN THAT GAY SHIT

  • @ElliottStrange - Pain is beauty, and beauty is not pointless.

  • @wherethefishlives - Saying that something is true does not automatically make it so; nevertheless, it is not my job to keep you informed. You can believe whatever you please.

  • @ElliottStrange - Thanks, much appreciated! I also give you permission to believe whatever you are told.

  • @wherethefishlives - Told? No, I do my own homework. Weighing less than the normal limit really is bad for your overall health.
In regards to your “pain is beauty” comment… well I can’t tell you what to find beautiful. But pain is nothing but unfortunate to me and I would never wish it on another person. Would you?

  • @wherethefishlives - hahaha do people think you’re serious??

agreed, eadie. agreed. I shouldn’t feel fat because I’m a perfectly normal weight but I do, because the world today is disgusting. I’m not going thinspo or anything, don’t worry.

  • @ElliottStrange - If it’s what makes them happy, then yes…

OK, sorry, my sarcasm supply is dwindling. I’m really just leading you on for my own amusement. I don’t support all this thinspiration stuff. Being underweight is unhealthy, and so and so forth.

  • I so agree!  It fucks with your hormones as well.  There is nothing sexy about it, which I think is the point:  to stay a child, to get attention and concern from others.  All that obsession toward NOT eating could be put to better use.  And yes, I know I am being mean.

  • Ay, I be in agreement with ya here.

  • @wherethefishlives -  Haha, I at least got it!

  • Eadie, how can I make you understand this? When I saw Mary-Kate in Vogue magazine, I just stared in awe and said to myself, “I want to go to there.”

  • @wherethefishlives - I knew you could not be serious lol.

I’m with you on this. Saying “you aren’t a girl, you don’t understand” is ridiculous! That is an unhealthy habit, end of story.

  • i’d just like to lose some excess wieght with my gut, but i wouldn’t want to lose a kidney in the process

  • hahaha true eadie. how’s it man? :]

  • I think saying anyone under 130 is unhealthy is a bit of a generalization…

Take a persons Body Mass Index into consideration.  That is a persons weight (in kg) / height^2 (meters)

That is a more accurate representation.  Not perfect, but at least a start.  Normal should be somewhere from 19-25.  When people get much under that, it starts being a health risk.

However, the whole “I’m anorexic and that’s cool, it’s my choice,” is a bit off to me.  That thought as a movement scares me.

People DIE from this.  It is a miserable death as well.  Looking for “thinspiration” makes my brain hurt.

  • He said 130 because I am 155 and wish I was thinner

    -Amber

  • I also wish that I was more muscular.

Walter has ‘caught’ me looking at thinspo. I like thinspo to be honest. But I am also about 5’10″ so 155 is a good weight I think.

    thinspo is my inspiration~!

  • But, how else will I be beautiful?

  • On a somewhat related note: I have no idea why, but about a good percentage of the people subscribed to me are anorexic.  I can’t figure it out for the life of me.

  • you’re one voice… but i think it’ll matter because you’re a guy — the main reason they want to be beautiful. you should launch your own Dove campaign! :D lol! :D but this is good… kudos to you! (^_^)

  • It’s the health aspects that’s the concern.  If you’re young and your body is still growing, you’re stunting your growth and screwing with your metabolism when you starve yourself.

  • Honestly though, if they’re consciously choosing to damage themselves, don’t you already think they have something severely wrong with them? To not care about the damage or the danger? It’s the same with those who actually have diagnosed disorders: something’s wrong with their perception of things. The normal has now become abnormal and vice versa. Be it something that hits them out of the blue or something they themselves decide to do because they can’t handle it any other way, it’s still a disease of some kind.

You wouldn’t downgrade an anorexic, would you? :/

  • @death_knock_90 - I’m a pretty solid believer though, that most of their dissorders are self-inflicted, due to the pursuit of being “cool” or “sexy”

  • @RockOfEadie - well, then there’s still something wrong with their perception of things. they lack good judgment, be it self inflicted or not. i know that the proana community is growing in size at an alarming rate but, what is there to do about it? it’s to be expected, when the media exerts such a pressure to be this way or that and many girls are hit with this at a young age and haven’t the strength to resist the thoughts of ‘a few pounds and i’ll be perfect’ or ‘the reason nothing’s going right is because i don’t fit into size 00 jeans’.

i do agree though. most is self inflicted. but they’re crazy enough to not think seriously about the danger they’re putting themselves in. so, in that case, i believe them to be disordered as well.
